So what is the best way to fit a shared sequence to your setup??

Say the shared sequence has 5 mini trees and I only have 4 but don't want to loose the continuity of the orginal??

I know it has something to do with the different styles of pasting...but I don't exactly know what each of those do.

I would say to start with transparent pasting. It's my best friend when picking parts of one routine to lay onto another without doing a lot of disturbing thing.

I think it would be quicker to just build another mini tree;)

I did think about that, but I am limited to only 24 channels this year and to get everything I wanted in, that was what I came up with.

I also have 4 columns on my porch and I wanted them to match in some chases if that makes sense.

The "cleanest" approach is to open the original sequence, then create a new one, then copy and paste the channels that you want to keep from the original to the new one. That way you don't end up with extra clutter in your sequence, and you can go back to the original to pull in more as you need it.

Another way would be to just use the sequence as-is and turn off the parts that you don't need (each channel can be enabled or disabled separately). There are some variations on this also (such as reordering the channels to put the unpopulated ones at the end, where there's no hardware to display it, then you can just leave them in there and they do no harm).
