I have two Renard 64 boards on the way from wjohn, but after going through the Renard info in the Wiki, I'm not sure which way to go.

I have the ZC down to what I am doing, making a Ren-T, but status LED's & firmware is where I am at. Currently I am NOT using and LED lights, all incandescent bulbs.

Non-PWM firmware, don't use status lights, won't work right.
PWM firmware, status lights work ok

I know the difference between the PWM and Non-PWM, my question is if I use the PWM firmware, status lights will work ok, and it will control the incandescent light strings ok? Is the PWM the preferred firmware?

I have my 595 from last year doing Halloween, hoping to get the Renard running for Christmas.

Thanks

Yes, the incandescent lights will work fine with either non-PWM or PWM firmware. The status lights need PWM firmware, and will work fine with incandescent lights.
