I didn't know they existed.
If the joint is NOT likely to be pulled apart, how about using a couple of 50mm nails and glue lined heat shrink to waterproof the joint.

I use the nail I + clear heatshrink method myself. Works like a charm!!!
If you want commercial splices - www.ActionLighting.com is the place to visit.

Thanks for that guys. I have seen them on the net in 'how to' sites, but never seen where to buy them. They do this alot in the states. I just want to be able to cut it and rejoin to another colour, make up different things.

I have just had a look at Action lighting and they have those connectors. Is there someone in Aussie with them?
Laurie
I have bought them from Flexineon before. The fella (John) was too keen to sell them to me until he was sure that I knew what I was doing and wasn't going to kill myself or anyone else.

This was a few years ago and now I use the nail and clear heatshrink method.

I use solder, heatshrink (Filled with eithor epoxy or more usually clear silastic) and wire rated for the appropriate voltage, which is usually 240V
