When you start your sequence you can plot out your placement of each channel. After you build your timeline and set up your settings can you go back to the plot editor to see how it looks? Does that make sence?

Thanks
John

After you build your timeline and set up your settings can you go back to the plot editor to see how it looks?when you say ‘plot editor’ I believe you mean ‘sequencer’ and I believe you want to see how it looks without using actual lights. To view the channel outputs, there is a simulator called ‘Adjustable Preview’. You add this as a plug-in and you will need to set it up. The procedure is in the Wiki, but basically you just draw a visual representation of each channel. When you run the sequence, the visualizer will pop up and flash each channel drawing as though it was the actual display.

What did Phil S. say not long ago... something like...

The first billion cells that you fill in is kinda fun, but after that.... not so much...

My hand got so tired clicking the mouse on individual pixels one night I almost considered inventing a self-clicking mouse!!!;)

Well my 1st song is done that only took 7 hrs for 24 channels, I had grand hopes for leaping arches but I do not have the controller built yet to test and everything I did with the fade did not seem right. The fade in general is way hard I might have to plan for that next year. I changed it to a mega tree easier to get to spin. In short I am not sure if I like the set up but my kids do, so Ill go with that. On to song 2.

If your kids like it, you're home! There aren't many other reasons that are nearly as good for doing this anyway!;)

Absolutely the only reason is my kids smiling when I turn it on.

Two of my kids are more or less grown; 18 & 20. I have an almost 10 year old who likes this almost as much as I do. I think the kid IN me enjoys this more than she does, though...

Don't know if you saw this or not, but I have an app that can help with mega tree sequencing....
