I'm running Vixen 2.1 . When it starts up it tells me updates are available do I want to download. I'm thinking 2.5 and I do not want to update to that version yet so is that what the program wants to download or are there updates to version 2.1? I always just say no to the download since I have no way of knowing what updates are being referenced.

You can turn off the update feature by going to "Tools" then "Preferences", then check the "Disable auto-update" box.

I know I can turn off the check, but my question was are there updates to 2.1 or will this bring down 2.5?

2.1.3 is the latest and no, it does not update from 2.1 to 2.5.

I thought 2.1.1 was the latest .. where do I find 2.1.3? (my system is not net connected so auto-updates are out).

Another question. Is there a listing somewhere of the differences between versions? The reason I ask is that I am going through a week of testing again on 2.1.0 and if I encounter a problem I would like to know if it is addressed in an update. If not I might be more inclined to stay with what I have rather than upgrade (especially if I have no problems).

two good questions. I would like to know the answers as well since I am a 1st year vixen user. Even the vixenlights.com shows the most current version as 2.1.1.0 which I thought was the source for the most current software although I did not download it and look at it.

Not that I am aware of but it would be a valuable resource. I am going to contact KC and if he can provide me with the info I will put it in the Christmas Wiki.
