Hello,
I am way behind the curve this, my first year....
Any suggestions for how to run the lights? I have 96 channels of RenSS24 available.
Thanks for any input.

I'm in the short on time, short on cash, short on brains, long on projects camp. Any help is much appreciated.

Buffalo - west end of town.
I was born in Mankato, and lived there most of my first 20 years of life. I lived on the hill near Main St. and Long St. Across from the church at the T at the end of Long St, right there.
With the weather getting cold, I'm feeling a little more urgency to get the lights up (I don't have a huge number of lights yet, either) - and then do a quick hack sequencing job. My FM transmitter isn't even finished yet, but hopefully close...

Your trees are pretty short so it wouldn’t take much to put a string or two in each.
Mini trees are cheap and easy to make and sequencing doesn’t take a lot of effort. Chasing effects can look pretty cool and there are a lot of patterns that can be used.
You have a lot of flat areas on both the house and garage that can be filled in with Christmas shapes.
On your first year you may be overwhelmed with setting up that many channels. There’s no rule that says you have to use all available channels. There’s a lot of us that if we run out of time, that’s what we’re doing this year. I didn’t get everything up last year and I was OK with it. There's always next year!

my parents first house in mankato was just a few blocks form there, they moved south of town before i was born and i bought my first house in town about 3 years ago.
your ahead of me, i've just got a few strings of lights so far. waiting on my renss24 and some extra cash to pick up the rest of my lights. got an fm mod too but not sure if its going to work the way i want.
as for the cold weather, i love gettting any snow this early but it is going to make climbing around on my steel roof a pain if it decides to stick around for more than a couple hours each day, woke up to snow three days so far.

I also used to live south of town, on Rose St, by Minneopa Golf Course. Also used to deliver the Free Press out in the country by Lake Crystal, etc.

A really nice corridor of trees all the way up to the house -- wow, that could look like a fairyland some day!!
Nice roofline on the house -- lots of potential there!!! Ernie's right-on about not feeling the need to use all the channels. And there are no wrong answers here -- just have fun and enjoy it -- and if you can involve the family for a little help here and there, all the better!
