REN16 - It works!

I got my first REN16 system completly done and hooked up to my singing pumpkins! We had our first show in the garage, where the kids came with chairs, candy bars and pop to see the 'SHOW'.

Once I followed all the directions it worked. Thanks everyone for the execelent notes, tips, and directions. Note to self, plug cable into IN socket not OUT socket.

Now only 8 more boards to build.

I'm right behind ya Michael. My 15 yr old son, 17 yr old daughter and I have been soldering and wiring like crazy. Only one screw up, (Mine of course) but we now have 4 fully functional XMUS boards. I hooked up every light I had and did some random tests. Everything is working fantastic. So 64 channels down, 96 more to go.

I'm glad to hear things are working for everyone!
I am up to 8 fully complete enclosures with 1 xmus board each. But i just built 4 more xmus boards friday night, and purchased the enclosures today (so much for finding one enclosure for all xmus boards for the mega tree, i just gave up... water masters for all!)
so this season, i'll have 192 channels, probably using close to 160 of them.

My Halloween display is complete, using perhaps 50 channels.

I used an Orbit sprinkler timer enclosure I found on ebay, and it is fantastic. Just the perfect size, but I need 8 more. I can not find them anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find more?

I'm not sure where you live relative to home depot and Lowes, but they both carry perhaps 4-6 per store, but over the winter they don't restock them, so if they have only 1 left, it will stay that way until maybe April. So last year, when i started prototyping in March, I had to drive all over town (literally to 4 stores total) in order to get 6 enclosures. I found Lowes was $5 more per enclosure....

I was happy last night though, I went to home depot, and they had 5 on the shelf, and i purchased 4, and that is the one just 2 miles from my house, no stress...
