Hello Everyone,

I am a newbie and I am trying to learn to use the Vixen software to work out a display for this Christmas using the Renard 16 boards.

I have been able to download the software to my document folder and have been able to unzip the folders to the same folder where the zip file is stored.

Everything seems to work except I can't view any of the help files.

Here is what shows up in the help display window:

Navigation to the webpage was canceled

What you can try:
Retype the address.

Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix?

The easiest way is to use HHREG it is free.

Windows security settings prevent the viewing of HTML help files.
I'm not sure why it happens because they are suppose to display when they are on the local hard drive, but I know that utility will fix the problem because I've had to use it before

Sometimes when you download an executable file (like a compiled help file) from the internet, Windows flags the executable file as potentially unsafe (possibly blocking it from displaying any help content in this case, or maybe displaying a dialog when executed).

So I think you can right click the help file, choose properties, and click the 'Unblock' button sometimes.

The registry software might work too though.

This does work, just click apply also. This does work, as I just did it to mine.

Thanks,
Randy

The Wiki also has a lot of information too. ;)
