I just completed my website updates for halloween. I don't have my outdoor display online yet, but I should soon. This morning I got a mention on a radio station in Texas (94.5 TheBuzz) and traffic has skyrocketed.
Currently you can view live streaming video of a small display and control it using Vixen software. I also have an LED display board that you can post messages to. Check it out and let me know what you think! I am always looking for suggestions.

NICE! i like the skulls....
I'm watching the videos now.
Are you using C7's in the pumpkins? must be more than a C7 those are bright....
have you tried multicolors in pumpkins? I haven't had good luck with anything other than red and orange....
But i'm only using C7's... not enough wattage i think.

Yes, those are C7s. They probably look bright because the videos were taken at dusk. Those are actually last years videos. I have a much better quality camera that I am going to remake the videos with soon.
I have seen green work really well in pumpkins, and i imagine purple would work well. The only other ones I have are Orange and they give them a more sinister look (not as bright as clear).
I may go pick up some different colors before making my videos over the next few days.

Now that is cool. I need to setup a webcam too that people can use to control the lights.

splitting hairs...
I have colored C7 bulbs that are transparent colored...
I also have C7 bulbs that are not transparent colored...
My observation is that the non-transparent colors are better than the transparent (better color distribution, deeper color, brighter even)
would you agree? what are you using in the pumpkins?

I am just using the clears that came in the pumpkins for now. I am going to pick up some colored C7s and replace them tomorrow.
I just added a live cam to my outdoor display also. I had to tone down the stream quality a good bit, but in early testing, the audio and video were syncronized for remote internet viewers. Check out the link below and let me know how it works for you. It is still a work in progress.

Nice!
I see you've fixed your potential SQL injection ability :) I was the person that posted the message on your display about needing to fix it! I hope you didn't take it the wrong way. :)
What database are you using for the flags? It seems to show the incorrect flag for me... should be showing the NZ flag but it's not.

Thanks! I was wondering who posted about the sql injection... ;-) I am glad you did. I took care of it that night.
The flag database is probaby over a year old. I am going to update to the database from www.hostip.info as soon as I get a chance. It includes information such as city, state, etc... I have been trying to do some site upgrades as time permits. I have a lot more technical information and photos I need to get online. I also have some cool holiday projects I am planning to unveil in the coming days/weeks for both halloween and christmas. I am always looking for website suggestions, so if you don't see something you would like to see, let me know.

I agree... infact, I'd call it inspirational! So inspirational in fact that I just had to copy the concept :)
I'm currently just displaying a line of LEDs on my site as a beta test, but I plan to have a section of my display controlled via the web.
If you want to take a peek, you'll find it at http://www.pacificlights.co.nz.
