Does anybody know if there is a plugin for the Lynxmotion SSC-32 servo controller? http://www.lynxmotion.com/Product.aspx?productID=395&CategoryID=52 I would like to create two animatronic elfs to add to my show as DJs that would talk before the show and between sequences. They would talk about the display and the title of the next song. I already invested in the SSC-32 and was going to use VSA from Brookshire Software to manage the controller for halloween (too late for Halloween now) but I really want to use Vixen to control everything. I'm clueless on writing a plugin but willing to learn if someone has tips for a novice. Heck, I've have to learn more to be a novice!:D Thanks!

From what I'm hearing the MiniSSC plug-in should work. I got one recently and I'm researching it to see how to set it up and run it from Vixen. I don't have any servos yet, but as soon as I get some I'm going to try it out.

Have you received an answer to this question yet? I would be interested to know the outcome.

Carl,
I haven't had a chance to pursue this as I set aside the servo controller issue and concentrated on Christmas. I will pick this up again in late January and work on it. I'll share my results in this thread when I do.

Thank you for the response. I will order a controller from Lynxmotion and "hope" that I can get it to work. I know I can configure a sequence as though I was going to use one without getting any type of error message. I have a Parallax 16 channel USB servo controller but I can not seem to get the plugin for it to work. It is giving me an error message that I can not get around yet. I have questions out all around the internet and I am hoping someone from Vixen can help me with this.

Shouldn't this thread be in Vixen plugins? If so I can move it.

Has anyone used the SCC-32 with Vixen, or have anecdotal information to share? I have a build coming up in a few weeks and we will be using the SCC-32 for a 3-Axis skull. I would like to be able to show to the class that it is possible to use vixen as well with the SCC-32 for those that can't get passed the $80 for VSA. That way maybe we will have more people participate and they would be able to take their creations home and get some "play time" right away.
The SCC-32 is supposed to be Mini-SCC compatible. But it would be nice if someone could confirm this. Thanks!

For what it's worth I found this thread over at HalloweenForum.com that seems to answer your question in the affirmative.

I have used the skull add-ins to create a 3 axis skull and used audio for a skull, I'm naming as Vincent Price. I have done everything I can and I'm still not getting my servos to move.
Skull wired to SSC 32 - check
9v in powered - check
6v for servos powered - check
USB 2.0 to Serial DB9 RS-232 connected - check
Board has green light - check
38.4 set on both - check
Your system working, routine recorded, board reading - check
I'm not a wizz at this, its my first skull what am I doing wrong? Please help
