I have been wanting to make leaping arches but there is some many threads on it I'm getting confused so what is the best way to start to make this arches.I know you use pvc pipes to make them and rebar but how do you figure how many lights per pole? and how do you all bend your arches where to start at? do you spray paint your pvc first so white or grey doesnt show through? so many questions .what is the cost to make a arch? I know you all might use after christmas sales and the price varies, but a rough cost and can you use one of those pre programed machine to get started with light (like a mr christmas) I'm on a budget right now .Thanks

If you were going to read one thread on this forum, I would suggest THIS ONE (http://www.doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3475).

In general:
- No need to paint the PVC - when the lights are wrapped around, the color doesn't really show through. You'll basically see the color or the wires.
- I got 7 channels on a 10' pole (3/4" white PVC) with about 4-6" of free space on each end.
- Bending: I store mine straight and just bend them when I install them for the season. The ends of my 10' poles where approximately 6' apart.
