I think I found the limit on what my new show computer will do for this year.
I was testing LedTRICKS with 2 panels and Renard with 128 channels.
When outputting LedTRICKS Frames the Renard would only send out a change every second or so. I have the rate set to 50 mil. The sequence was a quickly create waveform from a 9 minutes song. I also found that when all that was running the controls were not responding.
I was running this from interactive mode, not scheduled so I am hoping that when scheduled my computer can handle it better... since it won't have to support the UI.
With the UI and all those millions of bits for LedTRICKs and 128 channel renard at 50 mil seconds just is to much for this box.
2007 Show Computer Specs:
AMD Sepron 2600+
1.83 Ghz
1 GB RAM
Sound Blaster PCI Card
Windows XP SP2
Laster year's computer couldn't run LedTRICKS very well... I didn't even try running the Renard setup. My less powerful laptop does OK with Renard, but when on battery it has no chance.
