I am making a Santa that will sit on a reindeer in the yard.The deer is almost done....here are some pics.

I used a 3-D Bow Hunter target deer to make COMET hope you like him:D I still have to make a yoke to hide the seam in his neck, and i dont know how to change the date on camera sorry

Around these parts, you put that in your yard, and you'll have an arrow collection, and it will be hanging head-down...

well I hope that arrow doesnt find comet lol I thought of that really I did !!!
i'm going to put Santa on him too that I make, I made this one last year and my grandson said nana it would be cool to have him on a reindeer so...

Thanks coming from a veteran of the forum I'll take that as a job well done lol even made a lighted North pole

I'm not really a veteran - this will be my first year computerized. I've always had lights, usually with color organs. But I do know that looks great!

The scultped Santa is neat but his glasses are too modern, I think. Find him some John Lennons or Radar O'Reilys and he'll look like the image I always had in my head.

yes I know but I bought them in a dollar store cant beat the price for that lol I have to order Santa glasses from Morris costumes. Thanks for Thinking Santa is neat. Maybe next year I do The Mrs I also sculpted some elves

Thanks I use non-drying oil base clay, then i make a mold of the head.. this head were sculpted on a barbie head armature that kids play with to style the hair on barbie. sell the heads for DIYC so you may make your own elves. see my christmas link below

great detail work on those faces - what is that you sculpt these with?

i have been sculpting for years and i use van arkin clay bought at micheal's craft store or hobby lobby. This clay is great for holding detail work.it never dries tho so you have to make a mold of the head and recast the head with some type of silicone or rubber. since i sell heads and hands i use silicone that is colored it never breaks down.like rubber will crack and dry out but silicone holds its shape

Well I took the Santa i made last year and cut him off at the knees...lol
then added 90% 2inch pvc pipe connectors to make knees so he will sit on the deer.
