I purchased this off ebay and it works through dos and has to be booted from floppy no control at all and hard to use. Is there a way to use this through vixen?

Well I am sure it COULD be done. Not by me but here is a few places to start.
This one might work! (it has the software there on the page runs in DOS you might be able to fire that off from Vixen via the launcher) Could be pretty easy in fact!

This one has some C code they did for linux to calculate the checksums etc to get info to the board.

Yeah sorry I noticed that after I posted and havent had time to get back. It seems to be a 16 bit application. I even tried to run it in Windows 95 compatibility mode and that didnt work. You might be able to run it in a VM or something on XP but I dont know how you would trigger it exactly. But if you are running in a VM you could almost run Linux and try and use that guys code to figure it out.
It might be worth trying to get in touch with one of those guys and see if they have had any recent progress or new ideas. They have done quite a bit of leg work already and know a lot about the hardware and software.
