Can anybody post some arch and mega tree sequences that I could use to get some ideas on how to sequence them. I made a huge jump with channels and dimming and trying to learn all this stuff out. I think I know what I am doing but would like to see how others do stuff as well.

Thanks Mike

Arches and Megatree sequence usually are no more then all on/off or chases. Other then that you play with different combos to develop special effect that fit the music.

OK, their is alot more you can do with mega trees and arches than turn them on or off and chase them. I have posted 3 minutes of mega tree sequences that I just moved up in this forum. You can also do alot of different stuff with arches, you can split them in half and make them do cool things, you can dip them into each other, or shoot them away. I think that he is looking for sequences to show how long a tail people are using, how long they are dimming and at what levels. I think it would be great if other people would post their secrets as I and so many others have. Check out my mega tree samples, I think you will be pleased. The ones toward the end are incredible.

also a cool thing to try is to take a sequence and invert it and see how a sequence looks. invert a section or a whole sequence and just look for cool effects and some of the ideas will be good enough to consider using and just a easy way to come up with new and different ideas.

I know. WMG and Youtube having differences and we get left behind. Most of the videos don't make sense without the correct songs so I can't do the audio swap. Funny this is that some of my videos YouTube didn't even give me the choice to disable the audio. They just blocked the entire video. Sucks. Can't show off any of my work and promote the artists. Might have to find a new video service to use.
For non Christmas video I have found a new service that lets me use music from unknown artists to add to slide shows. (I take photos when I'm not doing this and my full time job.)
I don't know if I can post the name of the service here (off topic) but it is at the end of some of the newer photo slideshows.
As far as Arch and mega tree sequences, I usually will do a pattern and will often invert that pattern as well. My archs are 6 channel so I can control all four with just one ren-24. I used 10 ft PVC and ran my cords all to one side (cut and splice the cord before) and rebar stakes in the ground to hold it upright. My tree was 18 white channels and 2 blue. The 2 blue channels were always lit at the same time to act as one channel but I didn't want to overload a channel on the ren. (18 strings @ .2 amp each is only 3.6 amp but that was a lot of plugs to be putting into one outlet.)
It helps when you design your sequence to make a note of where the front of the tree will be and keep that in mind while you do your sequences. It may look off if your sequences start and stop on a corner and not the front or sides.
Arches can leap, flow, shrink, grow, flash, pluse and twinkle for effects. The animated preview window is always your friend. Try out different things. Sometimes patterns look better as a group than they do by alone (kind of like white guys dancing) so it may be better to have a few arches with less channels than to have one big one with many channels/colors)
