Issues with vixen just started

I'm sorry,but vixen is about to die.PLease take a screenshot of this message
Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at Vixen.eventSequence.loadfromxml(xml nodecontextnode)

at Vixen.Form1..ctor(string[]args)

is what I get then vixen crashes...

I suggest you re install your copy of vixen. Sounds like a corrupt file.

Funny thing Vixen was working perfectly too...I don't know what happened

create a new folder then unzip vixen into that then use that folder to open vixen

Also did you click and drag the vixen icon out of the folder?
It wont work if you did.. You need to creat short cut ect.

I did that Ron and also tried to update(redownloading it and installing it again) it but I am running the latest version from the wiki pages for Vixen so it's not that..It was working fine then all of a sudden it went nuts and gave me that message while I was working on a sequance..Strange as I have no idea why..I never did anything different as to the video's I was playing while working on it...Same as I did the first time I tried playing around with it...Not sure if it is a bug in the system or what it is...
Anymore help would be greatly appreciated

P.S. To create icon I right clicked it in the folder and crated a short cut that way...

Vixen 2.0 and Wondows Xp pro service pack 3
Pentium processor 4 quad core with 4 gig of ram and 8 terra bits of hard drives...Nvidia 256 mb of ram onboard video card,creative sound labs platium recording studio 6.0 series audio card with 7.1 digital surround sound adaptor fully functional :-)....Need any other info as this system runs like a dream and so had vixen up until tonight....No idea what is going on..I did a reinstall of Vixen and everything..All files downloaded super fast as I'm on a t3 truck line with unlimited speed up and down..So no idea what is wrong :-S <--- stumped face...Simply no idea ???

Which version of 2.0? (2.0.5, 2.0.7, etc.)? Also, you said you working with a sequence at the time it croaked - what exactly were you doing when this happened? Did you change any plug-ins, add or delete channels, etc.?

Also, does this happen as soon as you open Vixen, when you load a sequence, when you load a particular sequence, etc.?

Anything you can tell us will help.

Just as an FYI - there is a newer version currently under testing - 2.1. You may want to give that a try.

Vixen version 2.1 excuse me...I uninstalled 2.0 not sure of the version...The sequance was a new one I just started...No modified channels or plug in's at all...I went over the steps via video's 3 times to make sure it wasn't something I was doing..Turns out I wasn't doin anything outside the video's of how to use vixen...
What was I doin when it happened ???
I just got my first channel programed and went onto channel 2 when it gave me that error message..
Restarted sequance and sure enough channel 2 yet again went nuts.
Third time giving it a try I skipped channel to and went to channel 4 to program that.Sure enough vixen gave me the same message...
Seems really strange that version 2.0 whatever it was worked like a dream(until tonight as this is not the first time I've played with it).This one is going nuts even worse then the version I uninstalled and replaced with version 2.1...

By chance, did you miss setting your plugin/profile for the number of channels you have?

I wish it was that easy..Like I said I checked things with the video's 3 times still the same issue with version 2.0 whatever it was and now the 2.1 is doing the same thing only worse...

Sounds like you may have an issue with .NET - you may want to try re-installing the .NET package.

I went and got service pack 3..Seems thh like the cause of my issues cause as soon as I uninstalled it things are working fine now..So beware of service pack 3 for xp....
