G'day people, it's been a while!
Time to get back into it for this Christmas.
I've downloaded the latest beta version of Vixen - very nice!
One question I do have is about how to re-order the channel list in the edit window?
I can see how to re-order the hardware channels, but I'd like to know how to re-order the layout for the edit window.
Thanks heaps in advance for any help.
There's a dropdown list to the right of where it says "Channel order". Select "Define new order...". Then drag and drop the channels as you want them. You can then save the order, if you wish.

Thanks for the fast response, KC.
I tried your suggestion but it didn't work because I have the sequence assigned to a Profile. I can't see anywhere in the Profile Manager where I can re-order the channels for the edit window?
Thanks again for all your effort.
Embarrassingly, I have to admit that you're right. That needs to be remedied.

No worries KC.
It's not that I need to do any re-ordering at this point in time. I was just playing around with the new version and wanted to know if/how that was possible.
It would be a fantastic feature if you could add it at some stage.
By the way, I'm loving the concept of the profiles - very handy! You're a champ.

I have tried reordering in version 2.5.0.7 and 2.5.0.8 and cannot modify an order I have defined.
Here is the situation
I have an order call left-2-right
and I need to move some channels in this order. it is in my profile so I do
profiles
manage
then select the profile and dbl click
I fill in the name left-2-right in the channel order field and I see the correct order on the
screen, but how do I change it... If I click the icon (change the channel outputs) I always see the natural order.
I may be forgetting the method to do this
anybody??????????????
Thanks in advance
Dennis

Nope this never got fixed. 2.5 was still in beta when KC said he was stopping all work and going a different direction.
You can move the channels around, but it doesn't get written when saved.
You can however, edit the profile with Notepad. The channels are right at the begging of the file. You should backup the file though before you go changing anything.
