OriginalHotrodder

My wife and I have put up our Christmas light displays since we first moved into our house 25 years ago (I can't believe it's been that long). I'm an old school hotrodder, a computer and electronics nut (among other things). This year when I discovered videos on sequenced Christmas light displays, I was hooked (my favorite is the Holdman Christmas displays http://holdman.com/christmas/).
All the posts I've read here are friendly and everyone is always helpful and supportive. It's refreshing to find a forum like this. I'm looking forward to learning and sharing with everyone this year and in the years to come.
My wife had always been more into our outside Christmas light displays than I was, but this year I enjoyed them as much as she did. Our neighbors all like to decorate too and with so many people having financial difficulties this year it felt great to be able to bring some well needed joy to others. I'm a very lucky guy in that my wife is 100% on board with my new hobby.
For 2009 my goal is to add a mega tree (I've already bought 36 strands of 100 ct minis for it, 12 white, 12 green, 12 red) 5 or 6 arches and a dozen or so mini trees to start with. Talk to you all later.
