I would like to propose a Secret Santa program for the members of DIYC! The rules are simple. Who ever wants to participate must post here in this thread that they want to participate. Immediately after posting in this thread you must send me a PM with your real name and mailing address, you can add 1 or 2 gift suggestions you would like, if you want to. You will be added to a master list. Sometime during the 1st week of December I will send out PM's with the name and address of your secret recipient. You will have to send them a small gift sometime during the next 2 weeks. Thats all there is to it.

1. All gifts should be between 10-20 dollars. They can be bought or made.
2. I will try to keep secret Santa's in the same country as the recipient.
3. You can reveal yourself with a note in the gift box if you choose to.
4. Have some fun with this.

I think this will be a great way to bring our community closer together. If you make a commitment to participate please make sure you follow through, no one deserves to be disappointed during the Christmas Season.

Dec. 1st is just a few short weeks away. If you signed up to participate them make sure you forwarded your shipping address to me via pm on this board.

If you have not signed up to participate time is running out. Be sure to sign up in this thread. Everyone likes a nice little surprise during the Christmas season. Its also a great way to show your support for the community, have fun and help bring the members of DIYC closer together unlike any other Christmas centric board on the web.

I think keeping the cost low will add to the fun. Back when I was in the Boy Scouts we would do a gift exchange with a limit of $1.00. The challenge of finding someting for a dollar was part of the fun. You could always find something that would be useful on a campout. (I think a small box of Brillo pads (or SOS pads) is still about 95 cents.)

What are some things that help in setting up your display? Cable ties? Lawn staples (aka sod stakes)? There are many options along those lines that any Christmas lighting enthusiast would love to get!

All PM's have been sent. You should have the recipient and their address where to send your Secret Santa gift. Please refer back to the 1st post for general guidelines.

Everyone should have received their Secret Santa gift by now. If you have not received your gift drop me a pm and I will find out what the delay is. If you did not send out your secret santa gift yet also let me know so I can inform the recipient.
