Dynamic LEDTricks - Count down Clock

Has anyone worked on creating a Dynamic sequence or method to make LEDTricks be used as a count down sign? I have only seen one reference to something like this, but that was for use on a non-Christmas application.

Would like to scroll through a sequence and also include in there some real time information such as a Days until x-mas for example.

KC might be able to change the Application to have the LEDTRIKs board count down to a specific date
