2009 LedTriks Panel PCB CoOp

Wanted to see how many people are interested in the LedTriks Panel PCB CoOp - I've had a couple of people ask and I want to see if there are enough interested people to place the order. To make the pricing anywhere anything decent - it needs to be about 30-35 sets.

There are no changes to the PCB from last year.

(I need 2 more sets myself - going for the full four panels!!!)

have you done any shopping around to see if we can get this rather expensive board price down?
I realize it's a lot of square inches, so that's why I'm asking.

You would think that some of the chinese board houses prices may drop given the economic slow down.

I have done a bit - I will see if a requote changes pricing much (I did one last month and it wasn't much different)

Each "set" is 192 sq inches of PCB - its been a tough toss up - in the US - the shipping is significantly cheaper - but the PCB is so much more that china is cheaper even with paying 1000 for shipping.

But - it does look like were looking at $40 for a set this time - I jjust requoted the order and prices have dropped quite a bit.

is this a board that the LEDs mount on?.. if so what is the spacing on the LEDs?

I would like to get into ledtriks, no graphics yet just the scrolling message (simple) hat is the spacing. Is this board just the display board, the driver or board from the computer seperate?

This is just the panel for the LED's to be installed into. You will still need a LedTriks PCB and could add a triks-C if so wanted.

This is for a set of 3 8" x 8" PCBs to solder the 768 LED's into. Spacing is 1/2" on centers.

Hey Frank, how big are the mounting holes for the Trik-C and Ledtriks boards on the LED panel?

the holes are a Generous 4/40 - the "general" mouting holes are 6/32. If you wanted to use larger - there's room that you could drill them out a tad.
