Transitions...

This is a link to a picture of my 2005 display. I thought some folks might get a kick out of seeing the transition from one year to another.

I saw Carsons Wizards video around the 1st of december, and by xmas I had 8 trees in my yard blinking to rudolph (if I remember right).

As the season went along I got a few other things added to the display and some more songs added.

I had big plans for this year...but have not done anything to get them made...so I will probably wind up starting with pretty much the same display as last year, then see what I can get added as the season goes along...

That is a very good video. I love that song, and I'm trying intently to sequence it this year but it has been a nightmare trying to find the time. Thanks for sharing the progression.

The arches are 2 strings of lights wrapped around a 10 ft long piece of PVC. I pound a piece or rebar halfway into the ground at an angle, and slide the end of the PVC over it on both ends.

Thank Jeff...What I do a lot when I am doing sequencing...is "borrow" ideas from other displays I have seen (videos), and adapt them to what I have in my display. I would imagine that is what a lot of folks do.

Thanks for the idea of the 'arches'.
The 2 colors of the icicles are a great touch also.

Thanks for the update. I need to get all my electronics working before I expand my display but the arches seem like they would be easy to build and add a nice piece of depth to your display and others.

They nice thing about the arches, is that the create kind of a fence to keep folks from walking through the display too. Too many wires out there to have folks walking through the yard.
