I have a 7 foot Bethlehem star mounted on the house.
At the moment the sequence to run it is main star On for 1.6 sec fading to 25% to 2 sec. repeat every 2 sec
the minor star is on for .6 Sec, fading to 25% to 1 sec. repeat every sec
Radiance ditto to minor star but offset. repeat every sec

It looks just OK.

The Lights are 10mm warm white LEDs, so there is any 'persistence" thus I don't actually turn the LED fully off.

Has any one got any suggestions to make it really sparkle?

I don't know how to video and upload to youtube yet, so unless one of the kids will do it, I will try soon.

Cheers
Matt

I did a similar thing as you. This first link was my first attempt. http://www.doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showpost.php?p=40219&postcount=13

After more attempts I settled on this more often than not,

I seems the real trick is to never go completely dark on any channel during the "pulsing" times.

I took a chaser controller, cut off the lights, and wired them to the three strings and set it to the chase/twinkle mode.

Much easier to sequence, but harder to control:D
