Which 232 to 485 did you go with?

I cannot find any in-depth information on the topic anywhere.
Port powered, bi-directional, isolated? Also USB versus DB9 com port. I know not to go the cheap route.

This has both pinouts including a generic one in case you have a RS 232/485 converter.

Personally, I left mine RS232.
