Walmart and Home Depot honored Lowes Pricing

I thought you guys may wan't to give it a try, I mostly post on planet christmas, but I lurk here alot..

I checked at Lowes online they had their brand of 100ct minis for $1.20 each. I printed off the paper and took it to walmart. They didn't give me a bit of trouble they marked down their price for me..

I bought 16 boxes of clear and 16 boxes of red for $42 (for mega tree in 2009)

Next stop was at Home Depot the lady at the registar said "No way, we can't price match their items, you don't have a catalog."
So I told her "If you would like I will go to Lowes, buy a box, and bring you the reciept."
Again she said "No" but this time she said "No, we don't price match their clearance items, i've already asked the manager."
So I said " I would like to talk to the manager myself please."

Few minutes later Im talking to the manger explaing that I have a home depot card and that is why I wanted to get my lights there instead of at lowes were I would have to pay cash..
Low and behold he says " were not supposed to match them since they are different brands..
So I said ok I will go to Lowes then.. And he said " Don't worry about it, how many boxes you need?" Told him 32 and I was on my way for $42 more bucks..

Nice! I just got back from Lowe's with 2 cases of white minis (24 strings) for like 30 bucks. Where did you see this ad at Lowes.com? I can't find it and want to head to Wally World. :)

I'd like to try it too so, but I didn't see any add to print. Did you just print a screenshot of the sale item.

I used to be able to look up all the lights, but seeing the individual items priced at 1.20 no longer occurs. Is the sale over?

I wonder when Walmart and HD's lights will go on sale.

You have to actually go to your store finder button, it will come up for your local lowes...

Walmart turned one person on Planet Christmas down today told them they couldnt do it, but he said he had lots of trouble from that walmart..

I was told lowes sale is going to end on the 17th and that walmart isnt going on sale untill the 26th

FYI: Walmart will only match the exact item price. Lowe's brand is not Walmart's so they will not match. Funny thing is both brands most likely came out of the same plant in China.

Walmart and the 26th! I'll be ready.

I guess I should scout the local Walmart to see who has the most stock.

Quick thing I did notice, Home Depot Brand is brighter than walmarts..

Lowes told me there will be another round of price reductions on lights before Christmas. They are at 50% now. I expect 75% next.

They also told me there would be NO price reductions on christmas storage until after Christmas.

Hobby Lobby is supposed to put all their lights on 50% sale on the 15 or so.

I hope the 3 pack HD extension cords goes on sale like it did last year.

The stores closest to me were pretty much cleaned out. Some had multis, some had purples, but very few had reds and greens.

The Home Depots near me had pretty many 3-Pack Extension Cords so I hope they go cheap again this year!

Is anyone familiar with Lowes' policy of maybe holding back stock for later sales? My Lowes is pretty much out of stock of mini lights and I was wondering what good it would be to return for a later sale if they have no stock left? It's a considerable distance to a Lowes store where I live.

Not sure, but I bet a phone call to your Lowes would let you know pretty quickly.

I had to drive by the store today, so I stopped and asked. I got the regular untrained, give-a-dang answer I always get from the people that work there. No manager could be found.

That's the reason I asked here. Home Depot always seems to find me to help me in the store. Lowes' people seem to hide very well.
