It has been a fast paced, hectic past 6 months for my family and my display. We decided back in July to start looking to buy a new home. Well long story short, we made an offer back in August, got it accepted, and closed the deal and moved in to the new house on the 6th of October. On top of that I interviewed for a new job the day we closed escrow, and started the new job the day after the big move. I had to do 3 weeks of training in Southern California, so that left me little time to plan for this years display.

With lots of hard work on mine and my familys part, many long nights of adapting last years 18 minute show to work with the new house, and 3 very long and cold weekends, it went live last night. On top of all of this, I decided to go all red and green as my theme this year, and the new house is a 2 story. So we had new challenges in getting lights onto the second floor.

This year I am running the same 2 "Experimental" Ren64's from last year, and I added 1 Ren24 to run the mega tree. For a grand total of 152 channels. I have not counted all of the lights yet, but we are estimating just under 30,000. The mega tree alone has 5000, and the lawn grid has 3000.

It has been a fast year, and on a few more accations then I would like to admit, I did not think I was going to pull this off. But everytime I felt that way, i would come to this forum, and read and see what everyone else had going on, and it gave the kick in the butt I needed to keep going.

Thank you to everyone who makes this forum what it is. I hope everyone gets their displays going the way they want them. And have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I'm glad you found your butt kick here!....(Watching Monday Night Football as I type)

We all provide inspiration for each other! It's great seeing what's been accomplished by everyone in such a short time!

Our display is providing such enjoyment for us! We love seeing the people pull up and park. And when the kids get out and run around.....Wow!
