Will this triac and optocupler work?

Will these work for a 12 channel direct attach system. Most channels will be only 1 or 2 strands of 100 lights. But a few will likely have 3 or 4 strands of icicles. Not sure exactly what will be on each strand because I'm planing this for next Christmas and will buy the lights after Christmas when they are cheap.

Not sure about the triac but the opto would only work for simple on/off flashes only. It is a zero cross. A non zero cross, or random phase is needed for dimming.

Thanks for your response but the dimming is not really an issue. Since I plan to use a direct connection to the parallel port dimming is not an option as far as I know.
