Wow, I have been so busy here lately. Getting the display up is more work than I anticipated. We finished putting out the yard decorations Sunday. Now I just need to finish wiring the last 3 controllers. I have tested the controllers after I built them, and I just hope they work after putting them in the yard...lol I don't want to have any problems...I have been stressed enough. It just seems like something else keeps popping up that needs to be done and makes it seem as if the end is nowhere in sight!!! We are planning our premiere for Satuday the 29th, just hope it all comes together smoothly. Meeting with local newspaper tomorrow for a story so the pressure is on....lol Does anyone else get worried/anxious like me?

Yep.... I was in a panic Friday that I would not get done in time. Then got done today. Just keep at it, don't stress, it will come together. ;)

I was stressed over the display starting in January. Worked at it here and there since and started with my plan to put everything in place the first weekend in November. Like Wayne, I am also finished and it feels great to know that we can now enjoy all the hard work. I even had time to sequence 4 more songs for this year. We are all set for the opening on the 28th. Keep at it, the feeling once your are done is nice. Also, after this weekend, we can now park in the garage again! That alone made my wife happy.

I'm still missing a whack of mini's to get my Mini-trees up an running,
My star is nearing completion, but life is getting in the way.
My Transmitter released the magic smoke over the weekend while connecting it to an overpowered amp. So I need to get a new one.
Not completed all of my sequences for this year yet.
And I dont have a single thing set up outside..
Nervous? Nah.. long past that stage.. Panic blew past me over the weekend
I'm in some state of Zen-like bewilderment.. makes me want to climb a clock-tower...
LOL
No.. still in the Nervous to Panic stages

I'm in some state of Zen-like bewilderment.. makes me want to climb a clock-tower...
LOL...I really think that sums up the feeling I have been having...lol Hopefully the panic will panic stage will pass by!! I think I can control the nervous part since it is my first display....but we will have to see what happens.
I got the arches and mini-trees put up on Sunday.
I need to make 2 more enclosures and get those controllers out, then it's on to running the cat 5 to everything. Then I will install my FM transmitter and then power everything on. I just have that feeling in the back of my mind that something is going to go wrong when I power on for the first time and I haven't left myself much time to troubleshoot if it does. I guess I have been a little too overconfident... :) We'll see what happens! On top of all this, it has been raining cats and dogs off and on, so I am hoping that I can get something done tonight.

I was ""Like, whatever, I'll get it done" - then yesterday I dropped in my entry form into the local Christmas Lights competition . . . . . now I'm on the map that gets published in the newspaper, which means guaranteed people turning up to the display.
I now have a nervous tick in my left eye and high blood pressure. I have three days off work plus the weekend, I should be ok . . . . I think ;)

Yup, I'm nervous...I'm hoping to have everything working by this weekend. Most of the hard stuff is up and wired, just the highest peak with the Bethlehem star left. A friend who builds houses is coming over to take care of that this friday(I'm not so good on the roof). Just hoping for no rain or snow.

I know the feeling. We setup on Nov 1st, but I've still been working getting everything programmed, to get it lit by friday. I've also been trying to make these vinyl Tune To sign orders a priority, because I know people are waiting for them. It takes about 8 hours to cut, weed, mask, box about 10-13 signs. Very time consuming. I haven't even done my own sign! :-)

Well just an update...I have installed 1 of my ren16's in it's watermaster box and mounted it outside, and i finshed wiring the other one and after this post it's on to the next board (final one) for my megatree. Just gotta put them in the enclosures! Hopefully I will finish that one tonight too :) Then it's off to wiring them up tomorrow.

Well I was up until 2am on Monday night and 1am last night working on getting everything finished for the premiere this weekend. All that is left to do is run my cat 5 to 2 more controllers and I will be done...then I will cross my fingers and hope everything works :) It worked before I set everything up, just hope it still does :)

I Upgraded from 64 to 128 channels and did not consider the amount of changes that would be needed, Should have started earlier. So, The lights won't be on Thanksgiving, but they should be ready by December 1st.
