Hi all,
I did a quick search and found nothing, here is my question:
I want to have speakers running with music for my display as well as I plan to do an FM broadcast, but as it gets later in the night, the volume should be decreased on the speakers to not annoy the neighbours too much, so what is the best way to achieve that, can vixen do it, or should I write something if no one has anything.
Regards,
Jason
Jason,
I am using one SSR to cut the power to the amp driving the speakers. I end up with no speakers but the FM keeps playing.
I know one set of computer speakers I have work but with limited volume when the power is cut. That has actually given me an idea for mine!

Vixen doesn’t control the volume. I don’t know the particulars, but you can schedule an app to run; you could then have Vixen run your app. I don’t know if you can pass parameters but it would make sense. I believe that someone on here was running Media Player to show video’s.

I have found a program that can allow a hot key to be set and then use mouse scroll to change the master volume on the computer, I am then using a windows macro program to hold the hotkey down and then send X amount of scroll down to the mouse wheel.
The result is I can schedule that to reduce volume using windows scheduler at any point in time I wish, could even up the volume if I wanted.
P.S. Can someone point me to the "how to" on having vixen run my program instead of using windows scheduler.

Issue your neighbors with ear plugs, tell them to go out, or better still, get them to build a show as well, and link all the houses up!
