I have a problem and canít figure it out. I am sequencing in vixen and I can output to my controller and everything looks great. I export to FPP and I am seeing chase effects and others starting and stopping in different elements? Itís like itís channel shifting when running some effects like chase?

Any ideas cause I have tried going back to v1.8 on the FPP but same problem. I guess I could use the computer to run the show this year from Vixen but that is far from ideal. 24 hours till start time and I am calling in all help out there.

Thanks in advance

Tried a second pi and remapping both the controllers in Vixen and the ports in FPP. It almost looks like data drop out but I an test with a string connected right to the controller and it works perfect if I play the output from Vixen or run test patterns from the controllerhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171123/2e7f94a31042c45d85dcb3633fb1b635.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171123/16a3520c2721bd614bfd60fe71142ba9.jpg

Have you tried Unicast? Just change type to Unicast and enter IP numbers for each respective controller. This will reduce network traffic that each controller has to deal with.

Unicast is a good idea. Are the controllers in the correct order when exporting out of Vixen? First controller should be universes 1-x and so on.

After sleeping on the problem and thinking I had fixed it by deleting and reinstalling my channels on the FPP I discovered that even if I had the Vixen player stopped it would mess up the data. Closing the program completely allowed the pi to play and work correctly?????

Vixen sends data the entire time it is open. This is what allows multiple things to happen at once. You can have multiple sequence editors open and playing, the scheduler running, multiple sequences can be running at the same time from the scheduler, etc.. When you want to use more than one data source on the network, one needs to be disabled. If you want to send from vixen, you'll need to disable the FPP's output. You can do that by stopping FPPD or disabling e1.31 output. If you want to send from FPP, you'll need to disable Vixen's output. You do that by closing vixen, or going into display setup and select the controllers and hit the stop button.

BTW, multicast vs unicast has nothing to do with this conversation. You have only 12 universes spread across 3 controllers, that's nothing. Stick with multicast and make your life easier. Unicast sACN is a workaround for certain scenarios, it's not the panacea that many people make it out to be.
