Modified Renard Plugin name

I have 2 Modified Renard plugins with the same name. I have no way to tell which is which. I may be the only one in this situation as I helped Phil test a modified plug in a ways back. Can the plugins be renamed easily?
In the output folder I have the following listed renard plugins:
1. Renard.dll 2.0.5.1 Renard
2. Modified Renard.dll 2.0.4.0 Renard
3. renard_beta_4_mod.dll 0.0.0.0

Well this is interesting… I found that everything in the plug-in list, on the left, is in created date order. The file name is not used; you could call it anything you want and it would still be in the same place in the list.

In File Explorer, if you right click on any of the column labels and select Created Date, you can sort the files by creation date instead of Modified date.

I’m assuming, at the moment, that you know how to find the revision number of a DLL file.

On my laptop I had hard drive go bad and had to replace it. All the files I transferred show a creation date of 6/24/08. I looked at an older version and I only have one modified plugin, renard_beta_4_mod. I am guessing that is the one Phil made.

I've got a copy of renard_beta_4_mod.dll (and a source file) in my development area, so that must be the one that I sent. I don't have any idea what the difference is between that one and the one that KC created, but I would go with his.

Is there a way I can adjust the name of the dll file displayed in the plugins window within Vixen? This way I can signify which is which in Vixen. They both come up with the same name.

Can you navigate to in in My Computer and right click on it and "rename" it? KC had me do this once when we were troubleshootilng a problem I was having.

Renaming the dll will not solve my issue. They already have different file names. It is the name that shows up in the plugin window in Vixen. They both have the name Renard(modified).

At the moment the computer that I'm using with Vixen is off-line, so I'm not getting updates. But unless both files are included in the Vixen updates, just remove the one that beta_4_mod file and keep the one from KC.
