Ok i was thinking during school of some really cool ideas for the LED tricks board. I was thinking, what if we made it so that you can plug a little device into the back of a computer, program it with some chip programing software and then plugged that into another device that would output the required signals to run the board. We could have is so that the sign would only update when an led changed(to cut down on processing time) and have a word pop up...

something like that.

Zane the controller for Ledtriks I is dumb it has to be constantly reminded of what needs to be displayed so you have to update it all the time. This would not be hard to do but someone else would need to do it as I'm tied up on getting the new stuff done (Lynx and Ledtriks II). Ledtriks II has brains on the board so its easier to do this. I am working with sd memory cards as a storage medium for it as they are cheap and you can just dump the data to it from the computer, plug it in and it runs from that. This would require some work from KC to make it work for you guys as I use my software and have no way to design the firmware to use his information.

Any chance you will give us a little more of a sneek peek about these two projects?

He has written some info about lynx on the ledtriks forum (http://ledtriks.21.forumer.com/index.php) (the separate one that he shut down some time ago).
