Vixen 2.0.9 ENTTEC open dmx adapter

hey everyone, i have an issue the newest version of vixen will not work with my open dmx adapter it crashes when trying to play a script but everything else works fine when i disable it. i rolled back to vixen 2.0.3 and it works perfectly! but the sceduler does not work on that version so im screwed this year if there is not a fix for it. if i don't have my dmx this year i can live with that because its only 4 channels. thanks guys!

I have also been noting some problems on my test PC using a PRO ENTTEC, Comms port goes missing, etc. I'm on 2.0.9, go back to 2.0.5?

Yes, there is a serious serial related issue in 2.0.9. The most recent known stable version is 2.0.5. KC sent me a copy I just need a way to get it to ppl (the forum has a 1meg limit).

I used 2.0.5 this last weekend and it worked great. I will try to get it up on the wiki and post a link.

I just installed from that link and it comes up as Ver 2.0.5.1.

KC must updated it since the last time you tried it.

Is the problem Ver 2.0.9 or the open adapter. Using the Enttec Pro, 2.0.9 seems just as stable as 2.0.5. Is there something repeatable in Vixen that shows the problem?

I may start a poll to narrow down this issue. Some folks have said they are seeing problems with the pro, others have not. The root cause could be SP3 for XP, but there wasn't anything in there that would relate to this issue. The other option might be .net updates.
