I deleted 2.0 and all the extra 1.1 copies I had on computer
now I try and run any sequence I get a DMX error - see attachement.
I probally should just delete all my 1.1 stuff and load 2.0 then load my created sequences from 1.1
Will try tomorrow, am going to bed

Does the IDMX.dll file exist in the Plugins directory?

also get an IU error and a ledtricks error
These errors occure in 1.`1.0 as well as 2.0
Not using DMX or Ledtricks so I just ignore the errors.
Just hope that the Renard 64 will work.
Havn't tried that pluging yet.
If I knew where the screen shot (shifted print screen) went I would send a scree shot as the errors occure.

It goes into the clipboard.

So, after pressing (no shift) PrtSc, go into ms paint, do a ctrl-v to retrieve the image, and edit/save it as needed.

there are 4 shots
1st is when I open vixen (note all these errors started when I installed 2.0 but pretty sure I am using 1.1.11

Doug,

The music file didn't make it though, but your sequence plays on my system with 1.1.10.
It has a lot of very rapidly flashing of blue and white colors. This seems excessive, even for a Twisted Sister song. Maybe the file was corrupt and loaded anyway, or was this what you wanted?

If this is correct, then it's your setup. I would try uninstalling and reinstalling Framework.

Yea I know its to much blinky blinky
I tried reinstalling framework (repair)
My plan now is to remove ALL of vixen files, reinstall framework then install vixen 1.1.11
or should I bother with 2.0??

I’m assuming that you have all of your sequences and music backed up somewhere else, so I would just delete the Vixen directory and everything goes with it. Reinstall Framework and then install Vixen. Copy the file that you sent me into the sequence directory and see if it runs.

Will let you know how it turns out.
Now 1 question I havn't heard any response on from anybody?
Is 2.0 worth the trouble to load or just stick with 1.1.11?

Vixen 2.0 isn’t at a release point yet. It’ still at Beta stage, therefore the risk is that it may still have some bugs and the sequences can’t be converted back to a 1.1 format.

I have been using 2.0 since it first came out and it’s been working for the most part. It adds a few more advanced features that were requested but couldn’t be added in time for last season. It crashes occasionally but I haven’t lost anything yet though you should never be working on your only copy anyway. The preview window requires a bit more CPU speed at the moment. It has an automatic software update as bugs are corrected and additional features are added, so it will get better with time.

Since this is your first year and you’re having a lot of problems with 1.1, I would recommend that you don’t use 2.0, at least not yet. You can always convert later when you’re more confident that your system is working correctly.

I deleted ALL 38 or so Vixen files I had (Now they are in a Norton Go Back protected folder)
I repaired Framework 2.0 (It could be I am using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer to download Framework.
After loading etc a screen came up (while still at MS downloads)about Framework error messages and I may have to download a Hotfix file to repair Framework 2.0.
I will try downloading framework using IE etc.
I need maybe to delete Vixen files again but will try the IE first.
Oh yea I ran Vixen .95 or 1.0 last year.
Great program.
Note if you are ordering SSr parts I contacted Mouser about price matching Jameco and saving $25. Will let you know as I just sent the email doc w/ Jameco prices etc.
