I recall last year a post on the computer christmas form about using spade connectors instead of duplex plugs/carlsin type boxes for the ssr enclosures.
Well I got an idea that I would like an opnion on - using small plastic boxes (tupper ware kinda) for the enclosures and the spade connectors.
found these on Ebay tem number: 120151747194
the ssr only need 2.5 x 2.5 x 1.5
cut small slits in top rim, install ssr, place wires in slits, tape cover on and for added protection place a plastic zip lok bag on.

Those look exactly like the boxes that the dried fruit comes in from our local grocery store. While I think the idea would work, I'd rather buy more dried fruit and eat the contents. Maybe I should save them upand mail them to you.

Anyway, the plastic isn't thick.

You might want to check the local Dollar store. I was able to find tupperware-esque containers at the right size for (you guessed it) $1 each. They're very sturdy, lids seal tightly, and they're clear so I can see the LEDs inside if need be.

My local Dollar store changes inventory regularly, it seems, and these particular items would come and go in stock, week-to-week.
