Spent a couple hours today building SSRs, then couldn't find some cable I wanted to use to test with so I started digging. Digging lead to moving stuff which lead to a trip to Walmart for storage containers. That lead to a trip to OSH to get some shelving to replace all the stack up boxes. So ?? hours later (with lots of breaks) I finished cleaning. I had TONS of e-waste. So now I have a huge box full of old computer parts and electronics from the 90s to recycle. There is a free recycle day for e-waste every 3rd Friday of the month so I just missed it...
But things are a lot cleaner and I hope to stop collecting every little thing I think I can use for something someday. Well someday always seems to come the day after I clean and throw it out.
It takes a long time to clean since I want to play with all the junk I have been holding on to. Also I have now reached a point where I value my time more; I am willing to buy some stuff new that I could have salvaged. I used to de-solder connectors, components and any else I thought would be useful.
Guess the garage is next on the cleaning list!
