Start a new tradition down under! Neighbors might think you're a bit odd, but then again, don't they think that about us already?

When I first read the title of your thread I thought stuff-up as in problem . . . oooh stuff is up, working. Reminded me of this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4i8SpNgzA4 (What's a "gime"? Oh a "gime".)
Nice work, they look great.

O.K., probably a stupid question.. (please forgive me), but do you not observe All Hallows Eve in Oz?

Not really. We know about Halloween, but I don't know anyone here that is into it as much as you guys. I have never seen a house decorated for Halloween. We do get 2-3 kids trick or treating but that is about it. And usually they don't even bother to put on a costume. It is just an excuse to hassle the neighbours for candy.

Hey this year i will have a cemetery in the front yard, light show play halloween music, someone telling ghost stories, 4 or 5 smoke machines, a 10 x 12 foot arch way wthat i fill up with some and come out of to give out the candy. Also i have a chain saw handy when we ask the kids for a hand. then my friend chases them down the block with the parents encouragement.
I got about 300 trick-o-treaters last year and about 250 the year before. So i expect to see a lot of kids come by. We even get kids asking us in july if we are decorating again. It is a lot of fun.
Some of my picture from previous years.
