Any chance of adding an RSS feed to the Forum and Wiki?

An RSS feed would also be useful to me.

I will look into it. I have never done one before but lets see what I can do.

Okay guys I got it done. RSS feeds should now be active. There is a link up top in the area of the flashchat/wiki/pm links, it is listed as "SmartFeed". Check it out and let me know how it works. I have never used it so I have no idea what it is supposed to do.

edit: there seems to be a problem with generating the url for the feed if you are logged into the site. For now log out and you can subscribe to the feeds as an unregistered user. This will have no impact as all the forums are visible to unregistered users currently.

Try it both ways, I may have licked the problem.

I originally tried the logged in way and got the error. So I logged out and it generated a RSS url but it didn't seem like it was working with Google Reader.

Now that you 'licked the problem' I got no error generating the URL while logged in. I will monitor a little while and tell you if it seems to be working.

thanks for working on this Macrosill.

Unfortunately this still appears not working.

The RSS URL has not changed since generating it, and in that time, there have been new posts to the forum. As expected, Google Reader did not notifiy of any updates and states the feed contains no items.

Marcosill, will PM you the URL. Thanks.

Thought I'd post a report... The feed has been working great for me for a few days now (on my iGoogle homepage). Great work Brian!

I had a nice find after subscribing to this feed. The free newsreader in the Vista Windows Sidebar allows me to select certain feeds by gouping them in a folder. I have the LOR website, this one and PC all scrolling in the window all the time.

Has anyone been able to use the RSS feed reader on Yahoo Mail Beta working? It pulls down a preview but then won't added it. Tried it a couple times now, y! mail beta is flaky sometimes...

Matt,
Are you referring to the Yahoo Tool Bar? If so then you have to add the bookmarks toolbar by right clicking in the top tool bar area.

No on the tool bar... Using mail.yahoo.com - Beta for my @yahoo.com account.

I tried 4 more times. It finally added. So Yahoo Mail - Beta (non-tool bar) does work, just keep trying.

When it wouldn't add, the only failure indication was 'Sorry'. It wasn't very helpful...
