Home Depot Christmas Stuff

Does anyone know when HD might be putting out their Christmas stuff? Do they stock mini's and does anyone remember if they were a decent price?

In previous years I've never even given a thought to getting Christmas stuff at HD as I can usually find stuff cheaper elsewhere. However, I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket and I want to use it on some strings of minis if possible.

Any info appreciated!

I was at our local Home Depot this last Saturday. Most of their christmas shelves were full. the only thing obviously missing (because of a display ad) was an RGB string light w/controller (heaven only knows what the price tage will be on those). They had minis and leds in various configurations. The shelves were full. (Mini's were 3.99 per hundred regardless whether you bought a 100 ct box or a 500 ct string on a roll). LEDs were priced decently but no major savings. I suspect they are the half-wave.

I'd be all over those 3.99 per 100 mini's.. Still cant figure out WHY the prices are so outrageous up here in Canada.

The Home Depots in my area (Halifax) wont be stocking those shelves for at least another 5-6weeks.

8.99 per 100mini's is the normal price and will drop to about 3.99 at the end of the after season sales.

I'm only a few strings short this year and with luck I have them covered.

I'll look at getting LED's for next year for the power bill savings.

One of our local HDs (Londonderry NH) have the Christmas stuff out already,
the other (Manchester NH) is still waiting for the summer clearance stuff to sell.
The 6 foot cords are 99cents, they have 50 LED strings for $9.99.
Also there are 18' rope lights $9.99 for incans and $16.99 for multi-colored LED.
I don't remember the standard mini prices as I buy them after season.

The HD by my house had all of there Christmas stuff out except for their mini's. They did have a bunch of LED strings out though.

The HD by me had their stuff out, including minis. The only problem is they didn't have 100 ct green and red only white and multi.

I was bummed!

They did have 110 count red and green, but that will screw up my power figures. I have three strings on a channel for example. I do have a heat sink, but I'm still trying to stay 1 amp per channel or thereabouts and 10 amps per side of the Ren 24. The power budget is tight as I have a small display on one Ren24.

I wonder if I can modify the 110 ct strings to strip 10 bulbs?? Anyone??

Has anyone seen any stuff out at Walmart yet? If so, what were 100ct minis going for there? Did they have green 100 ct? Red?

The stuff IS out at my Walmarts. No prices on anything yet :( Althought I have heard rumor that their prices on 100 ct. mini's will be same as last year (approx. $2.50)

I was also disappointed to see very few LEDS. I thought this would be "the year"
