I am about to complete the wiring on my Ledtriks board. I hope to have it tested during the week and will put the back on. The back is 1/4" plywood and will be inset into the frame of the Ledtriks case. My power supply and Ledtriks board are inside the case.

I am wondering how many of you finish the job, either by just cutting a hole in the back for the wires to hang out, or do you put in a nice RJ45 connector and an electrical plug outlet inset into the back of the case to plug into. It needs to be watertight.

The reason I am asking, I have two places that are possible locations for the sign, but one would require 25 feet of CAT5 and the other would require nearly 75 feet of cat5. I want to remain flexible, but something tells me that putting the connectors in the back of the box may not be a good idea.
Thoughts please.
Thanks,
Keith

I cut a vertical notch a 1/4" wide and 3/4" long in the back panel. I ran the cat 5 and power through the cut and then sealed it with clear RTV. I placed my sign near the front of my display, but the cat 5 was almost 65 feet long. I had to shorten it to about 35 feet to get a clear display (to much flickering).
