512 channel DMX controller published in Circuit Cellar

Was browsing the airport bookstore today on my way home, 2 more day of travel to go!

I noticed that the August 2008 edition #217 of Circuit Cellar has a 512channel DMX light controller published.

I took a very quick look and it looks quite small and simple..

I didnt have the time to actually stand in line and buy the rag, but thought someone out there may already have it and might be able to shed some light on the issue.

I don't know anything about DMX so it really doesn't make any sense to me but you can read the article online.

Its an ethernet to DMX converter (similar to the USB to DMX interface we use). I saw it a few weeks ago. I like the concept but was dissapointed that he didn't use the ACN protocol for the ethernet side.
