This is for the benefit of any New Zealand members here. But I would like to thank you all for your help that I've gathered from these forums.

The 1st annual New Zealand Mini Workshop will be held at the Salvation Army Hall in Hawera on October 25 & 26th.

$20 a head ( $30 for a couple) for room rent.
About $20 a head for a food budget. (to cover Saturday lunch, Sunday lunch and tea?) + Saturday tea cost.

We have the following presentations scheduled.
* Animation - the basics
* Computerization - how to do it
* LED's (solder in) - how to use them in your display
* Christmas Villages - the what and hows
* Wireframes - building tips
* Light strings - fault finding and repairs
* Electrics for dummies
* Taking photos of lights
* Websites - how to . ..
* How to stay organized Perhaps a few of us could explain how we do it. general discussion show and tell
* Water Proofing
Trading table where we can all bring along stuff to sell or trade.
* Vendors showing/selling their products (to be confirmed)

This will be a great weekend and the chance to meet and make lots of new friends. Bring along your gear to play with!

Its ironic, when its cheaper to get from wellington to melbourne for a mini than it is to get to hawera.. However my wife thinks that she would like to turn up, as we have some freinds up there..

I'd be happy to bring my rgb led matrix up.. Its kinda cool.
