Good "Webpages for Dummies" Website??

Evening, all;

I'd like to build a webpage for my display this year, mainly so that I can host my videos there and avoid youtube and vimeo. I'm a complete noob when it comes to webpage design and construction. Does anyone know of a good "Webpages for Dummies" site? Also, which host would you recommend??

Hosting your own videos will be costly and a lot of work compared to just linking to them in Youtube.
