Anybody working on a POV-triks?

The idea is that a single string of LEDs can be moved around in a circular motion and flashed to make a picture. The result is that a lot fewer LEDs are needed for a given area (the trade-off is now there is mechanical movement). There are a lot of people doing this for other applications, such as fans, bicycle wheels ("spoke POV"), even automobile wheels. I thought it would be neat if we could hook one up to Vixen. The controller circuit itself is very simple. I think the only challenge for hooking it up to Vixen would be using an RF transmitter/receiver or slip ring to send the bits to the POV unit. (I think it would be better if Vixen talks to the POV device so it can be sync'ed, rather than running the POV on its own).

I'd like to try one, but I've got a backlog of other projects so I wouldn't get to it until at least 2009. Just thought I would ask if anybody else is working on it.

I think that's what RJ has in mind for LEDTriks II (http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?board=8.0).
