I recently completed a 2x2 Ledtrix Panel. Over the last few weeks I have been running it every day to see how it does. As I was building the panels I tested all the LED's to make sure they lit up ok using a LED tester. When I completed the all the panels every LED worked.
When I hooked up all the panels to there contollers, I had several LED's that wouldn't light up. They would light up with the tester but wouldn't light up through the controllers. I would end up replacing the LED's and they would work fine. So finnally I had a completed 2x2 panel with every LED lighting up.
Like I was saying I have been running the panel every day and I have noticed something strange. I will notice that while a message is displaying a column of LED's will be dimmly lit. When I look closer at the column that is dimmly lit I will notice that one of the LED's will not be lit. When that column is turned on the LED works fine. Anyways, I will replace the LED that is not lit when the column is dimmly lit and then that column will not be dimmly lit any more. Hope that makes sense.
So far I have had to do that with about 6 columns. Yesterday I noticed that 2 more columns were dimmly lit. Am I chasing my tail here? Has anyone else noticed this? The columns are not lit up enough that anyone will ever notice but I want to make sure I do everything to make the panel perfect. Any feedback will be nice. Thanks.
