View Full Version : What wiring configuration do you use for building a Matrix?

I am just about ready to start building my full size matrix for this years show.

After looking over my demo matrix and considering the changes I had to make, it got me to wondering what everyone else does considering the possible combinations. So I thought I would throw a Poll together to get a consensus from others.

For my demo I wired my jig up with Plan C. It was only after I turned it on it's side to look like Plan G did it actually work the way I expected. My test looked like this.

So what Plan do you use to quickly get your matrix wired? Assume you are looking at your matrix from the street so these are Front facing.

If you use Mega Trees then I assume you would pick from Plan A - D.

Mine is not built yet, but planning on "F".
Yes I voted

Not knowing alot about making one but if I were to I'd pick E but not sure if there are reasons to pick the others.

I would go with plan C or F if I was too build one if I am correct about this the programs look at bottom left as default start

Unfortunately none of your wiring diagrams suit my liking !

Plan F for my future matrix...

I used plan C for my 2d ray tree and plan E for my 20 x 75 matrix.

I have to agree with Angus, mine is not shown.
One matrix was first pixels at the bottom and last in each string at the top (square matrix)
and then there was this insanity, lol!
