Well i guessed 72 sets of c6 led's on each 30' arch and got an extra 24 just in case i had any more ideas. Plan to build 2 and arch 1 hopefully will be done sunday long as the pipe is turned by tomorrow.

There you are, Ron, with lights but no arches...I've got arches but no lights!

If you can't put those last 24 boxes to use I know I can. (3 arches with 8 channels each)

Just out of curiousity where in the world did you manage to hookup that many LEDs? Is there an online site that I have overlooked. I would like to make a couple of arches myself. The only place that I have seen with somewhat descent prices is ledholidaylighting.

well here are my arches. 70' from end to end. the large 2 can easily fit a yukon with a couple feet to spare. 1/8 wall steel tubing. large are 2 pc and s,mall are 1 pc. bases are detachable and i plan to paint one tonight, feed the ext cords inside tomorrow and wrap lights saturday. 12 channels on the largs and 4 sets or leds per channel and 8 channel on the small and also 4 sets per. And now they are more then "just lights."

My statement was in reference to the utility pole in photo 5. I can't believe how sloppy some of the utilities can be when they wire up neighborhoods. It's a shame really... :(

;)

Just kiddin'... I love how the arches go from one end of your property to the other AND the fact that you can get your vehicles under the large ones AND the fact that the arches look very well built AND... AND... AND...

well one side of the large ones have 2 coats. i guess its only 9-30 here and still 88 degrees so in half an hour paint the other side and tomorrow still plan to run the wire thru and have them ready to wrap lights on the first one saturday. the guy who bent these says and im impressed, he can bend a spiral tree with 40' of pipe to the shape of a spiral tree for me. i just need a hole to plug the pipe into the ground and i created the first chasing spiral shapr tree. 40' use 24 channels and basically its like one of those cheap spiral trees but on the mega level. 4 of those rather then a mega tree has me thinking tonight.

Hey, I take offense to that! My company set that pole! Then the cable and phone guys came along and fouled everything up....

LOL (To any of my fellow data/voice IBEW brethren.... just kiddin'!)

Jeff

BTW RON! YOUR ARCHES ROCK!

Woah, I'm one of those "phone guys" and I know I do a nice neat job... must be those "cable guys"! ;)

Way Off Topic... Have you seen the Ver... commercial where the tech has all the addresses for work at the houses where the cable guy has all the canecllations? LOL

Back on topic. These arches rule! I wish I had a place to store something like them, let alone know how to make them. Nice design!

Spiral trees certainly a maybe for next year, a definate no for this year. I hope to see someone elses pitfalls with the idea. hand wrapping stuff this big is a big job. The smallest would be a 6' tree if i did it and it would take at a minimum 22'-30' of pole and hand wrapping that would be a week of all my time at home.try hand wrapping a 160 sets for your arches and see how much you want to wrap something else. i still need to get to my mini trees.i do hope to do 4 spiral chasing trees next year though. also with so many sets of leds on this stuff i been pluging in child safety plugs into all the open female ends to keep water out, anyone know where to buy them in bulk ?(500+)
