I ordered 6 stars from Wireframe D'Lights and received them yesterday. Very nicely made, powder coated to help slow rust and reasonably priced. Doug (the owner) did a great job. I highly recommend him for all your wireframe needs: www.wireframedlites.com (http://www.wireframedlites.com).

My intent was to put LED lights on them, but after about 10 seconds of consideration, I decided pixels would look awesome and be easier to get the string length exact.

So... here'a video of a pixel star.

Glad you like them Derek and thanks for the kind words.

...the star looks great!

...a thought...if it was mine, i would have to flat black the two sections of wire with no pixels on them...to make them "disappear"...paint or even some flat black vinyl wrap...

...i like them!

Yea, I noticed that too. I'm going to paint them flat black tonight. But... I could make a Star Trek insignia with it :)

I put the two sections of wire there for added support.

You could always add the other three sections, and be able to draw a star by following the 5 straight lines. That's the one thing I miss not being able to do on my star.

Cheers,
Rowan

Looks great Derek. What type of pixels did you use?
