What do you think if everyone wrote an e-mail to Target that is interested in the gold lights they used to sell.

If we start now, we may be able to convince them to put them on the shelves this year. I know there were quite a few people that wanted them last year and they did not have them. They had purple at christmas, but to me, that seems like a color better suited for holloween.

Edit, I just sent my letter through their contact us area on the website.

I suspect that it is too late for this year. My suspicion is that their lights have all been manufactured for this year, and are on container ships now crossing the Pacific.

But it's not too late for next year...

It seemed that some Target stores had expected the gold ones last year. There were several people that reported that initially there was shelf space left empty and labeled with the word Gold, myself included. It’s possible that someone didn’t order them or ordered too late. Several people also said that they mentioned their displeasure to the manager and/or the corporate office. No one ever found out what happened. Maybe we’ll see them this year, maybe not.

I wrote to them last year too, as well spoke to the manager. Maybe it did something. We will see in a few months.

I hope it did some good! as I wouldn't mind about a dozen sets myself. They are quite pretty when on.

My local ACE HARDWARE had tons of them! I have never used a gold colored light, maybe I will get some when they come in or after the holiday sales. They were marked down 70% after xmas and I picked up a bunch of other lights but not the gold...

The Target gold is the only color that looks like a true yellow. The clear gold and the clear yellow still look whiter than yellow.

correct - an easy way to id the target ones is that they look when off almost like coated with a gold paint.

I wonder if there is a gold paint that we could use to cover clear lights and make our own golds, HMMMMM...... Something that you could just dip the bulb in to cover it in the paint. spraying would make to much of a mess I would think.

In the list of uses it says night lights, that's pretty close to christmas lights.
