I know there are some issues with running other controllers using a laptop parallel port, is LedTricks one of them?

Has anyone had success driving a ledtricks controller via a laptop parallel port?

I have run my Ledtriks panel off my laptop. I do all my display synch'ing and testing on my laptop and then tranfer everything to my display pc. The Ledtriks worked fine off my laptop.
